About

Open 24 hours, and named by the Public Health Institute at Denver Health as a place to be evaluated for PEP when its Sexual Health Clinic is closed or cannot see you in time.

This clinic doesn’t advertise itself as LGBTQ+ friendly. Most clinics don’t, so this isn’t a sign that it’s unwelcoming. If you’ve been, tell us how you were treated.

Denver Health publishes a hospital price list and a financial assistance programme rather than a fixed fee for an emergency visit or a PEP course. US emergency care is usually expensive without insurance, so ask about financial assistance at registration and check whether your travel insurance covers it.

Prices are shown in the local currency as stated by the source on the date shown. “Consultation” is often charged separately from tests.

United States: good to know

  • PEP in this country. The Public Health Institute at Denver Health says that if you may have been exposed to HIV in the past 72 hours you should call the Denver Sexual Health Clinic (303-602-3540) as soon as possible about being evaluated for nPEP, or go to Denver Health's Urgent Care or Emergency Department. It does not publish a price for PEP for people without US insurance.
  • What visitors pay. US care is rarely free for visitors. The Denver Sexual Health Clinic says people over 19 without insurance pay $20 to $90 for testing on a sliding scale, some services are charged on a sliding fee scale of $0 to $70, patients aged 18 and under are seen without fees, and no one is denied care based on ability to pay.
