Can I go now?

Walk in — no appointment needed

From clinic website· 19 Sep 2026

Walk-in testing is listed as Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm; an earlier clinic announcement gave a lunch break (9am to 12pm and 1:30 to 4:30pm). For everything else call the Patient Support Center or book online.

Can a visitor use it?

Check with the clinic before you go — The FAQ states that all patients must reside in the State of Texas to receive care. The sentence sits in the virtual-care section, so it is unclear whether it also covers in-person walk-in testing.

Kind Clinic publishes no price list. Its FAQ says all patients must reside in Texas, that medications sometimes have a cost which a Kind Advocate helps bring to little or nothing, and that insured patients must use their insurance for lab work; the Kind Patient Assistance Program covers care regardless of ability to pay.

Prices are shown in the local currency as stated by the source on the date shown. “Consultation” is often charged separately from tests.

United States: good to know

  • What visitors pay. US care is rarely free for visitors. Austin Public Health's Sexual Health Clinic publishes a flat fee of $30 for STI testing and treatment, by appointment. Some free community programmes in Texas are limited to people who live in the state, so ask about eligibility before you go.
  • PEP in this country. Kind Clinic (Texas Health Action) says PEP must start within 72 hours of a possible HIV exposure; it can begin PEP by video visit, but you still need to attend one of its clinics for lab work, and its FAQ says patients must reside in Texas. If you are visiting, go to a hospital emergency department and say you need PEP for HIV exposure.
