Sexual health clinics in United Kingdom
Listings in the United Kingdom are mostly free NHS sexual health clinics, alongside charity and community testing services, a hospital emergency department and one private clinic. In England, GOV.UK says diagnosing and treating STIs is free to all overseas visitors. Scotland and Northern Ireland set their own rules, and what a visitor pays there is less clear.

- PEP in this country
Every source we checked gives a 72-hour window. The Terrence Higgins Trust says PEP is free on the NHS for people who meet the guidelines: go to a sexual health or HIV clinic first, and at weekends or out of hours a hospital A&E department can start it. In Glasgow, the Sandyford service says to phone 0141 211 8130 for a same-day appointment and to attend A&E after 4pm for a first supply; its page describes PEP as for people living in its health board area. In Northern Ireland, the Public Health Agency says PEP comes from emergency departments and sexual health (GUM) clinics, not GPs. In Edinburgh, the Chalmers Centre lists PEP.

England: GOV.UK says NHS services for diagnosing and treating STIs, and A&E care, are free to all overseas visitors. Scotland: 2010 Scottish Government guidance says A&E treatment is free to everyone until admission or outpatient registration, and STI treatment at a specialised sexual health clinic is exempt from charges for all visitors, but it limited the HIV exemption to the test and counselling; this may have changed, so ask. Northern Ireland: nidirect says visitors do not pay in an emergency department but may be charged for clinic appointments; the Public Health Agency says GUM clinics are free but not whether that covers visitors.

In Northern Ireland, The Rainbow Project says PrEP through the health service's GUM clinics requires being a Northern Ireland resident, among other criteria, so visitors should bring enough PrEP with them. In England or Scotland, ask the clinic whether visitors can get PrEP.
