Mexico: good to know
- PEP in this country. AHF México says PEP must start within 72 hours of the exposure and that, after unprotected sex, you can go to any IMSS hospital or clinic, which must provide PEP as a free service whether or not you are insured with IMSS. In Guadalajara the community organisation CHECCOS also says it supplies PEP without an appointment on weekdays. If you are a foreign visitor, ask on arrival how the IMSS rule applies to you.Community-endorsed AHF México· 19 Sep 2026
