Sexual health clinics in Mexico
Most of what we list in Mexico is free centres run by charities and community organisations, which say their rapid HIV and syphilis tests and STI care cost nothing. We also list a private laboratory chain in Mexico City with published prices, and the city's public HIV and STI clinic; phone ahead to check its services. None of them says whether foreign visitors are included, so ask before you go.

- PEP in this country
AHF México says PEP must start within 72 hours of the exposure and that you can go to any IMSS hospital or clinic, which must provide PEP as a free service whether or not you are insured with IMSS. Its page does not mention foreign visitors, so ask on arrival how this applies to you. It also does not say that AHF's own centres supply PEP. In Guadalajara, the community organisation CHECCOS says it supplies PEP without an appointment on weekdays. In Puerto Vallarta, the Vallarta Gay+ Community Center offers emergency PEP but needs legal identification; whether a foreign passport is enough is not stated.
