Italy: good to know
- PEP in this country. Italy's Ministry of Health and national health institute say PEP works if started within 48 hours of the exposure. In Milan, Niguarda hospital states that PEP is reached only through an assessment in its emergency department (Pronto Soccorso) — see the Niguarda record for the source.
- What visitors pay. Milano Check Point's rapid tests are free and anonymous. Niguarda hospital's STI clinic says its blood draws and tests for STI diagnosis are free and need no GP referral. What a foreign visitor pays for a hospital visit or PEP is not published.
Emergency number: 112
LGBTQ+ friendly means the clinic says so itself. No label only means it hasn’t said, not that it’s unwelcoming.
