France: good to know

  • What visitors pay. The university hospitals say consultations at their free sexual health centre (CeGIDD, Hôpital Civil) are anonymous and free and open to everyone, including foreigners and people without social security, with all services free and an interpreter possible.
  • PEP in this country. PEP is called TPE (traitement post-exposition) in France. The university hospitals say their CeGIDD at the Hôpital Civil can prescribe TPE, with or without an appointment, six days a week including Saturday morning. Outside its hours, go to a hospital emergency department (urgences).
