France: good to know

  • What visitors pay. The Bouches-du-Rhône département says its CeGIDD (free sexual health centres; two in Marseille, Colbert and Saint-Adrien) offer free consultations, anonymous or not, with and without appointment, covering HIV, hepatitis and STI screening, STI treatment, PrEP and post-exposure treatment (TPE).
  • PEP in this country. In France PEP is called TPE (traitement post-exposition). AIDES, which runs Le Spot Longchamp in Marseille, says TPE must start within 48 hours of the risk and is prescribed for 28 days, and that it is available at Le Spot. The département's CeGIDD also offer TPE (see the cost note).
