Sexual health clinics in Brazil
Listings in Brazil are almost all part of the free public health system (SUS): city and state testing centres, specialised HIV and STI services and 24-hour emergency units, plus one free charity clinic in São Paulo. The Ministry of Health says foreign tourists can use the public urgent-care network free of charge. Ask a testing centre or specialised clinic what it needs from a visitor before you go.

- PEP in this country
The Ministry of Health says PEP is offered free of charge by the public health system (SUS), must start within 72 hours of the exposure and is taken for 28 days. In São Paulo, the city health department lists more than 100 units that give PEP, including municipal testing centres (CTA) and specialised services (SAE) on weekdays 7:00 to 19:00, the Estação Prevenção inside República metro station (Tuesday to Saturday 17:00 to 23:00) and emergency units such as UPA Vergueiro and AMA Sé. In Salvador, the local organisation Motirô BA lists 24-hour UPA units for PEP. For Rio de Janeiro and Brasília, see the city pages.

Brazil's Ministry of Health says a foreign tourist with a health problem can also seek care in the urgent-care network of the public health system (SUS), including SAMU ambulances on 192 and 24-hour UPA units, and that these services are free. The page does not list any documents a tourist must show. It speaks about urgent care; none of our sources says what a testing centre or specialised HIV and STI service asks of a visitor.

In São Paulo, the city runs a mobile testing bus, the CTA da Cidade, with rapid tests for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B and C, chlamydia and gonorrhoea exams, PrEP and PEP. In February 2026 the city said it works Thursday to Sunday 17:00 to 22:00, with Largo do Arouche and Praça Roosevelt as its central stops from Friday to Sunday; the weekly schedule is posted on the health department's social media.
