Sexual health clinics in Turkey
In Istanbul we list a municipal testing centre that HIV organisations list as free and usable without giving your identity, and a private hospital with an international patient service. Red Ribbon Istanbul says people without Turkish social security pay for HIV-related hospital care and medicines themselves. No source says whether foreign visitors can use the free centres, so phone first. For PEP, go to a hospital emergency department.

Good to know in Turkey
- What visitors pay
Red Ribbon Istanbul says the country has no HIV-related entry restrictions and no testing on entry, that most antiretroviral medicines are available, and that people without Turkish social security must pay for HIV-related hospital care and medicines themselves. It advises bringing enough medication for your whole stay.
- Testing
In Istanbul, Red Ribbon Istanbul keeps a list, last updated in August 2026, of municipal voluntary counselling and testing centres (GDTM) where an HIV test is free and you do not have to give your identity: Şişli (weekday evenings), Beşiktaş, Kadıköy and Avcılar municipalities and Bahçeşehir University. The list does not say whether foreign visitors can use them, so phone first. Ankara (Çankaya municipality) and İzmir (metropolitan and Konak municipalities) have free anonymous municipal test centres too; Antalya has none, so the listed routes there are a university hospital and a private laboratory.
City pages carry the local detail: which clinic, which hospital, and what it costs there.
PrEP in Turkey: none of our listed clinics says it supplies PrEP. It can also be ordered for delivery from PrEP Online.
