About

A city-centre centre run by a national non-profit that lists HIV and STI testing among its services, with a rapid HIV result while you wait or a laboratory result in about five days.

This clinic doesn’t advertise itself as LGBTQ+ friendly. Most clinics don’t, so this isn’t a sign that it’s unwelcoming. If you’ve been, tell us how you were treated.

South Africa: good to know

  • What visitors pay. The UK government's travel advice says there is no healthcare agreement between the UK and South Africa, that private medical care is of a very high standard but can be expensive, and that visitors should have travel health insurance and funds to cover treatment.
