About

A long-established HIV and sexual health NGO clinic in central Lima with infectious-disease doctors, its own lab and pharmacy, and PEP, PrEP and STI treatment under one roof, bookable online or by WhatsApp.

This clinic doesn’t advertise itself as LGBTQ+ friendly. Most clinics don’t, so this isn’t a sign that it’s unwelcoming. If you’ve been, tell us how you were treated.

The infectious-disease clinic diagnoses and treats STIs including gonorrhoea, chlamydia, herpes and hepatitis; cryotherapy for genital warts.

Infectious-disease, psychology and counselling appointments are also offered by teleconsultation.

Peru: good to know

PEP in this country. Vía Libre, a Lima sexual health NGO, says PEP is given at every Ministry of Health (MINSA) or EsSalud hospital that provides antiretroviral treatment, as well as at its own centre, and must start within 72 hours. AHF Perú says PEP through MINSA is free and advises going to the nearest health facility or calling 113. Neither source says what a short-term visitor is charged.
