About

A private medical centre aimed at international travellers, open around the clock with English-speaking general doctors, its own laboratory and a gynaecologist, so it is a practical first stop in Cusco if you have symptoms, although its site does not list HIV or STI tests by name.

This clinic doesn’t advertise itself as LGBTQ+ friendly. Most clinics don’t, so this isn’t a sign that it’s unwelcoming. If you’ve been, tell us how you were treated.

Peru: good to know

  • PEP in this country. Vía Libre, a Lima sexual health NGO, says PEP is given at every Ministry of Health (MINSA) or EsSalud hospital that provides antiretroviral treatment, and must start within 72 hours. AHF Perú says PEP through MINSA is free and advises going to the nearest health facility or calling 113. Neither source says what a short-term visitor is charged.
