- Testing
Very little Nigerian sexual health information is published in a form a visitor can act on. The Lagos institute listed here names HIV counselling and testing among its services and publishes its specialist clinic days, each starting at 08:00, but no prices, no walk-in hours and no STI clinic. AHF Nigeria publishes wellness centres in Abuja and Benue, with HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis testing and post-exposure prophylaxis, but none in Lagos.

Same-sex sexual activity is criminalised in Nigeria. The Human Dignity Trust records fourteen years' imprisonment under section 214 of the Criminal Code Act, three years for acts described as gross indecency between men under section 217, and fourteen years under the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act 2013. Sharia law in twelve northern states carries a maximum penalty of death by stoning, and trans people are prosecuted under those laws for gender expression.
