Sexual health clinics in Bolivia

Listings are a public STI and HIV centre in La Paz and an HIV and sexual health charity in Cochabamba. The Ministry of Health says HIV tests through the national programme are free for the whole population, but no source mentions foreign visitors, so ask about eligibility and prices before your visit.

Good to know in Bolivia

Testing: Bolivia's Ministry of Health says the HIV tests offered through the national HIV programme are free and provided by the state, as is antiretroviral treatment, and describes this as guaranteed for the whole population. The statement does not mention foreign visitors, PEP or PrEP. In La Paz, the departmental health service (SEDES) said in February 2025 that free rapid HIV tests, taking about five minutes, are available at CDVIR La Paz, at the central bus terminal and at CRVIR El Alto.
